Hi there,
We are already in the middle of the year 2021. First half has been very challenging for our country as many dear ones have died unexpectedly.
The rate of corona infection were more than 4 lacs per day during second half of April 2021 which has come down to around 80 thousand per day last week and percentage of rate of recovery improved from 80.20% in the same period (i.e April 2021) to 94.20 last week.
Covid warriors are working hard everywhere all over the country. The International Aid has helped India to stabilize India’s unprecedented Covid hike which is commendable!
Especially of constructing our own oxygen manufacturing units, oxygen delivery trains and increase of Covid emergency centers, hence all concerns have risen to the occasion and things look better than before.
It seems even the citizens have become rather very serious about the virus and all movements are very cautious and deliberate. There is fifty percent attendance in the offices, traffic movement follow odd even protocol. The shops too open as per the days that too for few hours. The movement of traffic is restricted with special pass issued by the administration.
The health administration are also providing vaccines to all age groups in both the districts of Ladakh Union Territory (UT). As of now 24.50 crs. have been vaccinated in India and all would be vaccinated by the year end. About 7 hundred thousand or more have perished by now.
Now that second wave has been contained we must be vary of complacency? And follow the covid appropriate behaviours which in a way seem to have become a new social norm. So things look okay moreover encouraging too!
Tourism sector has also begun to operate more flights are expected to operate. The local taxis seem to be getting jobs. Public buses have not yet begun commuting is a problem at present ordinary folks seems stressed out this if the administration would look into in the coming days would a great relief forgeneral public?
The upper and high altitude regions of Ladakh are completing their sowing season of agriculture produce which is one season here and the principle crop being barley, mustard, peas, wheat also vegetables in the Indus valley.
We have also just entered the 5th month of the lunar calendar and soon approaching the Ladakh’s most famous monastic festival ‘Hemis Tseshu’ on the 10th day which is also the birth day of the second Buddha Guru Padmasambhava.
During the days of the former Kings of Ladakh prior 1834 C.E Hemis monastery received the patronage of the royal Namgyal Kings. The Namgyal dynasty begins in the 1530 C.E when King Tashi Namgyal consolidates Ladakh into one entity.
Prior to that Ladakhi King were patronizing the Gyalukpa tradition from mid 15th century onwards from the reign of King Tragpa Boom’lde who was a very pious King of Ladakh.
Cutting short history let me facilitate you all on the occasion of ‘Hemis Tseshu’ the auspicious birth day Guru Padmasambhava, an abbot of the ancient Nalanda University, a great exponent of Vajrayana (esoteric) Buddhism. Through whose blessing Tibet became a very powerful and a follower of Buddha Dharma in the 8th century C.E.
The Nyigma tradition (oldest tradition) which began with him is considered to be very effective during such degenerated times as our world seems to have fallen prey too. Therefore, chanting the mantra of Guru Padmasambhava is very helpful i.e ‘Om A Hum Vajra Guru Padma Siddhi Hum’ along with ‘Parchat Lamsel’ and ‘Tsigdoon soldebs’, plz do recite these for your own benefit and those around you, Thukjeche! Bye for now.
